Lawyer with over 10 years of experience in technology and venture capital. One of the first lawyers in Brazil to focus on entrepreneurship and innovation, he served as the legal director of an American technology startup invested by DFJ – Draper Fisher Jurvetson, a venture capital fund in Palo Alto, CA, USA.
Law degree from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro – UERJ and a degree in International Relations from Ursinus College, PA, USA, and a post-graduate degree in Real Estate Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro – PUC-Rio.
Member of the Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program (REAP) of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology – MIT, member of CEICS – Committee of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Seed Capital of ABVCAP (Brazilian Association of Private Equity and Venture Capital), partner of Endeavor Institute and registered consultant of Sebrae/RJ. Professor of the Entrepreneurship Specialization Course at PUC-Rio Business School – IAG, lecturer and panelist in institutions such as COOPE-UFRJ, Dom Cabral Foundation, IBMEC and others in several states in Brazil.
Mentor in the acceleration programs of Papaya Ventures, Espaço Nave, MDIC Inovativa Brasil Program, Startup Weekend, among others, and a judge in startup competitions. Author of several articles and interviews on topics related to business law, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions and entrepreneurship law.
